Have your say on the future of A&E services in Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
A public consultation has launched to gather views on where urgent and emergency care should be located in the future. Currently, children’s A&E is at Ormskirk hospital and adult A&E is at Southport – but change is being considered.
Two options have been outlined to bring services together on one site. This is part of the wider Shaping Care Together programme, led by three local NHS partners, aiming to improve patient experience and provide safe, high-quality care 24/7.
The consultation runs from 4th July to 3rd October 2025.
